
NOVA Construction Services Recognized with Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award for Restoration of Iconic Skylight at 20 West 44th Street

Brooklyn, NY — NOVA Construction Services, a leading exterior restoration company specializing in facade and architectural restoration, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award for its outstanding work on the skylight restoration at 20 West 44th Street, also known as The General Society of Tradesmen and Mechanics of the City of New York.
This prestigious recognition comes after the successful completion of an extensive restoration project, which included the reconstruction of the historic copper skylight, the second largest in New York City. The historic building is renowned for its educational contributions, notably its century-old lecture series. 20 West 44th Street is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a celebrated New York City landmark, known for its architectural beauty and as a center of learning and tradition. This project highlights NOVA’s commitment to shaping and preserving New York’s architectural landscape. NOVA Construction Services will be honored at the 35th Annual Lucy G. Moses Preservation Awards ceremony on April 22nd, 2025, at The Edison Ballroom, located at 240 W 47th St, New York, NY. The Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award is the New York Landmarks Conservancy’s most prestigious honor, recognizing exceptional achievements in historic preservation.
