Construction Estimator

Responsibilities
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in analyzing project costs and ensuring accurate estimates that drive our success.
Responsibilities include reviewing project documentation, including blueprints, construction plans, contracts, and specifications; performing bid takeoffs and preparing formal cost proposals; analyzing and tracking key metrics to create precise and competitive estimates; researching and obtaining market pricing to provide clients with accurate rates; developing and maintaining an up-to-date database of unit prices; minimizing discrepancies between estimated and actual project costs; ensuring quality and compliance by adhering to company standards; and participating in bid reviews while providing valuable insights to support project success.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in building renovation, along with strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and experience with ProEST, Autodesk Takeoff, or similar estimating software is considered an asset. Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year.
